Watashi no Ookami-kun (That Wolf-Boy Is Mine!)
Authors: Nogiri, Youko (Story & Art)
Type: Manga
Volumes: 4
Status: Finished
Date Read: 11/25/16 to 11/25/16
Rating: 5 out 10
Summary: Kusonoki Komugi lives with her mother in Tokyo and can't get along with classmates. Because of her mother's business trip, she has to stay with her father in Hokkaido for a year. She thinks she will have opportunities to make new friends. She got to sit next to Ookami Yuu, a popular boy who tells her she smells good. One day, she discovers his secret...
Review: In general the story is interesting. But I find it way too short. The main plot, which is the romance between Komugi and Yuu is well developed but I would have loved to see more about Yuu's past and his friends' lives.
The art is not my favorite type of art, to be honest. The faces are pretty but the bodies seem a little bit off.
Apart from Komugi and Yuu, the rest of the characters have no development whatsoever.
Komugi's friends barely appear just to say a couple of sentences. Yuu's friends appear way more but still you don't really get to know them.
The story is nice, but it feels like so many things are left undone. Like developing the supporting characters, or talking about the past in more deep.
At some point, it is like a love triangle is gonna happen but it ends up being nothing. It is just a poor excuse for Yuu to realize his feelings, but still, that "tension" is left unresolved.
In the end, the art is nothing remarkable, and the story leaves many things in the air. But if you want a story that goes straight to the point this is a good option.
